Visual Art Therapy

Master of Arts (MA)

Visual Art Therapy

The program combines psychological theory, creative exploration, and clinical training, preparing students to use visual art as a medium for emotional expression, personal growth, and therapeutic change.

As the only program of its kind in Israel taught in English, it enables students to develop their therapeutic skills in a language in which they can express themselves with confidence. It is designed for those seeking a meaningful career that brings together their artistic interests and commitment to helping others.

Students develop an understanding of the therapeutic relationship and learn to support people in exploring experiences that may be difficult to express in words. Supervised fieldwork begins in the first semester, connecting academic learning with clinical practice.

The program is a member of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA) and the European Consortium for Arts Therapies Education (ECArTE).

Graduates are prepared to pursue art therapy careers across mental health, education, rehabilitation, and community settings.

The program is led by Anat Wolf.
